Their roots trace back to the early 1900s in Vancouver, operating out of a custom-built facility on Railway Street. As the province's industries expanded, so did they. They have spent the last twelve decades adapting to the changing needs of warehousing, construction, forestry, and logistics.

- 1989 - 1994 | Powering Growth: Industry heavyweights like Bobcat, Linde, and Daewoo are added to the Williams lineup to meet the evolving demands of local job sites.
- 2007 - 2010 | The Wesgroup Era Begins: Wesgroup acquires Williams Machinery, followed closely by Surfwood and Bobcat Country, triggering a massive regional expansion.
- 2013 | A Network Realized: The Westerra Equipment brand officially launches to provide even more specialized support alongside Williams.
- 2015 | Heavy Construction Focus: Westerra begins supplying Doosan Heavy Equipment (now DEVELON) to tackle the toughest forestry and construction environments.
